News - Yemen: Criminal US aggression airstrikes endangered a Yemenia Airways passenger plane as it was landing yesterday evening at Sana'a International Airport, coinciding with multiple airstrikes across the capital.

On Sunday evening, US stealth bombers carried out raids targeting the popular Furat market in the Sha'ub district, resulting in 12 martyrs and 30 wounded, according to the Ministry of Health. The attacks also struck the Attan area and a sanitation facility in the Asr neighborhood.

The Yemenia flight, arriving from Amman, Jordan, entered Sana'a airspace simultaneously with the US strikes. By divine grace, the aircraft—carrying over 300 passengers, mostly women and children—managed to land safely at Sana'a International Airport.

The US aggression has intensified its airstrikes on Yemen over the past month, killing over 200 people since March. The latest attack struck the densely populated Furwah neighborhood in Sana’a. The assault targeted a crowded market in the Sha'ub District, and the death toll is expected to rise as rescue efforts continue.

These attacks are part of a broader US campaign claiming to deter Yemen from targeting Israel-linked vessels. However, Yemeni forces have vowed to continue their operations in the Red Sea and beyond until Israel ends its war on Gaza. 

In response to the genocide in Gaza and foreign aggression, Yemen has imposed a strategic blockade on key maritime routes, aiming to disrupt arms shipments and pressure the global community to intervene in the humanitarian crisis.
