Miftah: US Must Expect a Response from Yemen's Armed Forces, Tribes for Its Brutal Crimes

News - Yemen:  The First Deputy Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Miftah, clarified that the US, which was supposed to end its aggression on Gaza and support Israel, chose instead to sink into the quagmire of Yemen.

This statement came during his visit today, heading a high-ranking government delegation, to the site of the US crime in the Thuqban area north of the capital, Sana'a, where he assessed the extent of the destruction and expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs.

While offering his deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs of the American crime, from the Al-Obaid, Al-Salah, and Al-Jamalouli families, Miftah stressed that the US should await a response from Yemen’s Armed Forces, tribes, and people to these brutal crimes.

In an exclusive statement to Al-Masirah Channel, the Deputy Prime Minister asserted that neither Trump nor anyone else, whether during his presidency or otherwise, would escape accountability for these crimes. He added, "We offer our blood and lives to the people of Gaza, and they should trust that we will not abandon them."

On Sunday, US warplanes launched deadly airstrikes on residential homes in the Thaqban area of Sana'a, killing eight civilians and injuring several others, mostly women and children.

The attacks destroyed three homes, caused major damage to surrounding properties, and displaced dozens of residents. Rescue teams rushed to the scene to evacuate the wounded to various hospitals, while efforts to recover victims trapped under the rubble are still ongoing.

This attack is part of a broader pattern of US airstrikes on civilian infrastructure in Yemen, fueling widespread condemnation from local and international human rights organizations. Calls for accountability and an end to the aggression continue to grow.
