News- Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces announced Wednesday the execution of special operations targeting the American aircraft carrier Vinson, alongside simultaneous strikes deep within the Zionist entity, specifically in the occupied areas of Jaffa and Ashkelon.

A statement issued by the Armed Forces said that the first operation targeted the aircraft carrier Vinson and its accompanying warships in the Arabian Sea using several drones, confirming the continuation of naval operations against hostile targets.

The statement added that the targeting of Vinson came just 24 hours after the "blessed operation" that forced the other American aircraft carrier, Truman, to retreat to the far north of the Red Sea toward the Suez Canal. That earlier operation also resulted in the downing of an American F-18 fighter jet and the failure of an aerial attack initiated by the enemy against Yemen.

In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their resistance fighters, the Armed Forces also announced the execution of a dual military operation using drones, targeting vital and military objectives of the Israeli enemy in the occupied city of Jaffa with three "Yafa"-type drones.

The statement further clarified that the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out another military operation against a vital target of the Israeli enemy in the occupied Ashkelon area, using a "Yafa"-type drone.

The Armed Forces affirmed to the great Yemeni people and the free peoples of the world that they are capable of resilience and confronting the enemy using the capabilities and resources at their disposal.

They reiterated that they had succeeded in foiling the aggression and would continue, with trust in Allah, to resist it.

The Armed Forces emphasized that they would continue, with full confidence in Allah, to support the oppressed Palestinian people until the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is completely lifted.

On Monday, the US Navy confirmed the loss of an F-18 fighter jet from the USS Harry S. Truman, a carrier involved in operations against Yemen. This admission followed a major strike by Yemeni forces, which targeted the carrier and forced it to retreat to the northern Red Sea. The strike came in retaliation for recent US airstrikes in Sana’a and Sa’adah, which resulted in civilian casualties.

This marks the second loss of an F-18 in recent months, following a similar incident in December 2023. 

Yemeni forces have vowed to continue targeting US military assets in the Red Sea until the US-backed Israeli aggression in Gaza ends. The escalation reflects Yemen's ongoing resistance against US military operations and its commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause.
