News - Yemen: Yemen's Shura Council has praised the active and influential role of Yemeni tribes in defending the homeland, commending their continued declarations of general mobilization and high readiness to confront the US-British aggression.

In a statement, the Council affirmed that the tribes’ full readiness to support the Armed Forces in the anticipated battle for victory and sacred jihad—particularly in response to the US-British escalation—is a source of pride for all Yemenis.

The Council highlighted the important role played by the tribes during this stage of the nation's history, which is witnessing aggression and the convergence of tyrannical powers due to Yemen's honorable stance in supporting the Palestinian people.

It also praised the growing military capabilities of the Yemeni Armed Forces, which have enabled them to achieve strategic deterrence against the US-British aggression and to shatter the myth of American aircraft carriers through precise strikes.

The Council reiterated the steadfastness of the official, popular Yemeni position in supporting the Palestinian cause until the Israeli aggression, blockade end and humanitarian aid, food, and medicine are allowed into the besieged Gaza Strip.

Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 52,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In addition to missile strikes, Yemen has also targeted ships linked to Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, aiming to force an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel halts its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
