Abdulsalam: Yemen’s Position on Gaza Unshaken; Any Aggression Will Be Met with Force

News – Yemen: Mohammed Abdulsalam, head of Yemen’s National Delegation, reaffirmed Yemen’s firm support for the Palestinian people and warned that all hostile acts against Yemen will be met with decisive retaliation.

Abdulsalam made the remarks in an interview with Al-Masirah addressing the false narratives by the US, Israeli aggression, and regional diplomatic developments.

False US Claims Reflect Failure and Frustration

Abdulsalam dismissed recent American statements alleging that Yemen had requested a ceasefire, calling them baseless and a clear sign of US failure.
“These claims are a reflection of Washington’s frustration after failing to protect Israeli ships and contain the fallout of its involvement,” he said.

He added, “The American enemy inserted itself into backing the Israeli regime, and we have responded to it directly.”

American Requests Conveyed Through Oman

Abdulsalam confirmed that the US had sent messages through Oman asking Yemen to halt military operations targeting the Israeli entity. However, he emphasized that Yemen’s stance remains unchanged, unlike Washington’s shifting and reactive policies.

“Our position has remained firm—support for Gaza will continue,” he said.

Aggressors Will Pay the Price

Abdulsalam warned that any country participating in aggression against Yemen would face consequences similar to those suffered by the US.

“Whoever becomes involved in this war will bear the same losses and repercussions as the American enemy,” he asserted.

He added that the real solution lies in stopping the aggression on Gaza, lifting the blockade, and allowing humanitarian aid to enter.

“The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is unprecedented in modern history and will have repercussions for every nation that fails to act,” he said.

Arab Unity Against Displacement Influenced US Retreat
He pointed out that a unified Arab stance against the forced displacement of Palestinians had influenced the American position, leading to some level of policy reconsideration.

“Some Arab governments have the capacity to support Gaza and should act,” he said, urging further action.

Israeli Attacks on Yemen Are Acts of Desperation

Abdulsalam strongly condemned Israeli airstrikes on Yemeni civilian infrastructure, including cement factories, power plants, water stations, and airports.

“These are criminal acts and signs of military confusion. The Israeli regime’s failures in confronting operations supporting Gaza are evident,” he said.

He described the strikes as “ineffective and purely for show,” stressing that they will not stop Yemen’s support for Palestine.

Zionist Disappointment in US Retreat from Yemen Front

Abdulsalam noted that the Israeli regime was “deeply disappointed” by the US move to de-escalate aggression against Yemen.

“Tel Aviv had hoped for continued US involvement, but Washington is trying to escape the quicksand it stepped into,” he said.

Yemen’s Military Readiness a Real Deterrent

He emphasized that the “dark experience” the US has had in Yemen serves as a serious reason to halt hostilities.

He also pointed to the large-scale public mobilization and ongoing development of Yemen’s military capabilities as guarantees that any future aggression would face strong retaliation.

“The evaluation of the American position continues. If aggression resumes, our Armed Forces will respond accordingly,” Abdulsalam warned.

Trump’s announcement to halt US attacks on Yemen signals a retreat under pressure from sustained Yemeni strikes in the Red Sea. The move, brokered through Omani mediation, reflects Washington’s failure to shield Israel or stop Yemeni operations supporting Gaza.

Yemen had initially targeted only Israeli assets, but after US involvement in March, American forces became targets. Intense Yemeni attacks forced a US pullback, exposing Israel and revealing a split in US-Israeli coordination.
