In a statement issued Wednesday, Parliament denounced the Zionist entity and its allies for deliberately targeting civilians and vital infrastructure—including ports in Hodeidah, Sana’a International Airport, power stations in Hodeidah and Sana’a, factories, residential areas, and shelters for displaced persons—without regard for human life, terrorizing women and children, and destroying livelihoods.
The statement emphasized that the excessive use of force by the US and Israel exposes their moral bankruptcy and the extent of their terrorism through indiscriminate bombardment, siege, and the use of internationally prohibited weapons that spread disease and epidemics. It stressed that violations of Yemeni sovereignty and the destruction of civilian infrastructure will not go unanswered, and that war criminals will face deterrent punishment.
Parliament recalled past crimes against Lebanon and Syria, as well as the ongoing threats toward Egypt, Jordan, and other neighboring states, stating: “They continue to threaten to turn the region into a living hell.”
It noted that Parliament had already sent messages to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, regional and international legislative bodies, and several Arab and global parliaments, exposing the reality of the brutal American-Zionist aggression against Yemen.
The statement reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to ensuring the safety of maritime navigation in its territorial waters—with the exception of ships heading to or from occupied Palestinian ports. It clarified that the blockade on hostile ships would be lifted upon the resumption of the Gaza agreement, an end to the war and siege, and the guaranteed flow of humanitarian aid—including fuel, food, medicine, and water—to the people of Gaza.
Parliament pointed to the obstinacy and evasion of the criminal Netanyahu in implementing agreements, insisting on committing more massacres, violations, genocide, ethnic cleansing, and enforcing a conspiracy of forced displacement against the Palestinian people by force.
It expressed astonishment at the passive or complicit positions of some Arab and Islamic regimes and condemned their silence. It urged Arab, Islamic, and international parliaments to activate parliamentary diplomacy to help end the aggression and siege—steps that would promote regional stability and global peace.
The Parliament called on Arab and Islamic nations and free people worldwide to organize mass marches condemning Zionist crimes against both the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples. It also urged regimes guilty of betrayal or indifference to reconsider their positions and align with the will and aspirations of the Arab and Islamic peoples.
It called for unified political and popular action to confront Zionist arrogance and hegemony, including the activation of economic and political boycotts against Israel and its supporters.
Finally, Parliament demanded that the international community, including the United Nations, the Security Council, and other relevant bodies, fulfill their legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibilities. It called for an end to double standards and the lifting of injustice against the Palestinian people—an injustice perpetuated by silence and complicity that allows aggressor states to exploit international institutions to justify their massacres.
The Parliament reiterated Yemen’s firm and principled support for the Palestinian cause until the aggression ends, the siege is lifted, and the targeting of Yemen’s people, assets, and sanctities ceases. It hailed Yemen’s recent diplomatic progress with the US administration as a significant victory for the country and its people.
Since March, the US, along with Britain and Israel, has carried out multiple airstrikes on Yemen, claiming to have hit more than 1,000 targets.
The campaign aims to halt Yemeni military operations against Israel and Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea as well as attacks targeting military sites deep within the occupied Palestinian territories.
On Sunday, the Israeli military failed to intercept a Yemeni missile that successfully struck the heavily fortified Ben Gurion airport. Following the attack, the Yemeni Armed Forces vowed to impose a complete “aerial blockade” on Israel by “repeatedly targeting airports,” especially Ben Gurion.
In response, Israeli jets bombed Sana’a International Airport and other civilian infrastructure, prompting Yemen to pledge strikes on Israeli targets with added force.
