News - Yemen: Brigadier General Nidal Zahwi, a military expert, confirmed that Yemen now possesses a qualitative edge in missile technology, particularly hypersonic missiles, in addition to enjoying a strategic geographic advantage.

Zahwi stated that this superiority puts the Israeli entity in a difficult position, especially as it now finds itself “without a real shield” in the absence of full American logistical support. He noted that Yemen’s support for the Gaza Strip has become the most disruptive factor for the enemy in the course of its aggression.

He explained that the geographic distance between Yemen and the Zionist entity necessitates substantial American logistical assistance for Israel to carry out military operations against Yemen.

Zahwi pointed out that Israel faces great difficulty in striking Yemen, particularly as its aircraft require nearby bases for launching operations—something none of Yemen’s neighboring countries are capable of providing.

While Israel has aerial superiority in the region in terms of the number of aircraft, Zahwi emphasized that its ability to deploy large numbers of jets toward Yemen is very limited without American logistical backing.

He stressed that current technology does not allow Israel to intercept a hypersonic missile traveling at a speed of Mach 16, especially considering that the maximum interception speed of systems like THAAD is only Mach 8.

Zahwi dismissed Israeli claims of intercepting a Yemeni hypersonic missile, calling such statements completely false.

He described Yemen's missile superiority as the result of “brilliant Yemeni minds” who have successfully developed, programmed, and launched high-precision missiles over long distances.

Brigadier Zahwi also touched on the increasing isolation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and noted that the US now seeks to end the Middle East conflict to shift its focus toward strategic challenges like its rivalry with China.

He asserted that Yemen’s intervention is currently the only effective force influencing the outcome of the Gaza conflict. Thus, Israel is working to neutralize the Yemeni front, despite Yemen’s superiority in both geographic position and missile capabilities.

Zahwi argued that the US has effectively abandoned Israel by accepting a ceasefire, as it cannot afford further losses or risk deeper association with Israel’s actions.

He concluded that Yemen has defeated the US, forcing it to retreat, and that this demonstrated Yemen’s strength, resilience, and advanced combat capabilities.

He predicted that Israel would pay a steep price, adding that Yemen’s response will be decisive and painful. “When Yemen speaks, it acts. When it sets a target, it hits it,” Zahwi said, emphasizing that both the Israelis and Americans understand this well.

On Sunday, the Israeli military failed to intercept a Yemeni missile that successfully struck the heavily fortified Ben Gurion Airport. Following the attack, the Yemeni Armed Forces vowed to impose a complete "aerial blockade" on Israel by repeatedly targeting its airports, especially Ben Gurion.

In response, Israeli jets bombed Sana’a International Airport and other civilian infrastructure, prompting Yemen to pledge strikes on Israeli targets with added force.
