News -Yemen: Economic expert and analyst Rashid Haddad exposed the severity of the economic crisis plaguing the Zionist occupation entity, highlighting the impact of ongoing Palestinian resistance and Yemeni military operations on its vital sectors. 

He confirmed that data indicates the occupation is suffering its worst economic losses in 75 years across economic, industrial, and tourism sectors.  

In an interview with Almasirah channel, Haddad stated: "If US losses during 52 days of naval confrontations with the Yemeni Armed Forces reached $7 billion—not to mention reputational damage and blows to American military prestige—then how massive must the losses be for the Zionist enemy after a year and seven months of Yemen’s aerial and naval blockade and precision strikes deep inside its territory?"

He explained that US efforts to position the entity as a competitive economic force have failed, as it now faces collapse in agriculture, trade, and advanced technology sectors. 

"Production has plummeted by 51%, foreign investments have fled, and the entity has been forced to borrow abroad at exorbitant interest rates, accumulating $300 billion in debt."

Haddad added that the entity’s air-exported goods—including gold and other precious metals—are now isolated, with new investments frozen. Current investors, feeling increasingly insecure, are relocating capital to the UAE and other countries due to the Palestinian resistance and Yemeni operations.  

Domestic transport is contracting, and tax revenues—critical for operational expenses and salaries—have dropped, forcing greater reliance on foreign loans. Daily production, once valued at $150 million, has slumped into deficit. Economic and industrial sectors are further crippled by the depletion of reserve forces, which form the backbone of the private-sector workforce.  

The Yemeni expert concluded by noting that while the occupation entity publicly admits to tens of billions in losses, it conceals the full truth to prevent further investor flight, which would devastate its global credit ratings and loan prospects.

Yemen has been conducting numerous unyielding strikes against targets across the occupied Palestinian territories since October 2023, when the Israeli regime began bringing Gaza under a genocidal war.

The operations have, since their onset, been expanded to include a naval and an aerial blockade against the regime.

The blockades have taken a significant toll on the regime’s economy by turning delivery of commodities to the occupied territories into a considerably more expensive process, and targeting Ben Gurion, the regime’s key airport, on many occasions.

The Israeli enemy has been responding by escalating its deadly attacks against Yemen.

Yemen’s Armed Forces have, however, vowed to decisively sustain their strikes as long as the regime keeps up the genocide and a simultaneous intensified siege it has been enforcing against the coastal sliver.
