President Al-Mashat: Yemen Stands United in Support of Palestine Against Aggression

News - Yemen: Yemen's President Mahdi Al-Mashat reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast unity and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, stressing that the nation's stance against Zionist-American aggression remains principled and resolute.

In a speech marking the 35th National Day of Yemeni Unity, President Mashat emphasized that the Al-Aqsa Flood battle revealed a rare moment of national consensus, uniting all segments of Yemeni society in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

“The repeated mention of Yemen in international forums today is conclusive evidence that our national unity endures,” he declared, adding that all attempts to sow division or promote secession have failed in the face of the people’s collective will.

Recalling Yemen’s historic struggle against British colonial rule in the south, Al-Mashat noted that this legacy has ingrained in Yemenis a deep awareness of the dangers of fragmentation and external interference.

He warned countries involved in the aggression and their allied militias against any actions that threaten Yemen’s unity.

Reaffirming Yemen’s commitment, Al-Mashat vowed that the struggle for national liberation will continue until every inch of Yemeni territory is free from foreign occupation. “We are fully prepared to confront any renewed American aggression, its proxies, or Zionist-American conspiracies,” he said.

Al-Mashat also reiterated Yemen’s firm religious and moral commitment to the Palestinian cause: “Support operations for Gaza will continue, regardless of the consequences,” he pledged.

Addressing the Palestinian people directly, he said: “Do not be discouraged by the betrayal of traitors. Allah is with you, and we are with you—your blood is our blood, your pain is our pain.”

He further assured Palestinians that Yemen’s military capabilities remain at their disposal until the aggression ceases and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.

Criticizing the misuse of Arab wealth and resources, Al-Mashat lamented that they are being redirected to serve the interests of the nation’s enemies. He also denounced the false promises made by US President Donald Trump, calling them “illusions wrapped in self-interest, masking hatred and deception.”

Clarifying Yemen’s stance on maritime navigation, he stressed that Yemen poses no threat unless provoked through acts of aggression or complicity in Zionist crimes.

He expressed disappointment over the lack of concrete outcomes from the Arab Summit in Baghdad, stating that it failed to deliver meaningful measures to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians.

President Al-Mashat concluded by framing the ongoing struggle as a collective Arab and Islamic responsibility. “The Israeli occupation is not only a threat to Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, or Yemen—it endangers the entire region. Resisting the Israeli enemy is not the duty of one party alone; it is a shared obligation dictated by our common destiny,” he said.

Since the outbreak of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemen has positioned itself as a key regional actor in support of the Palestinian cause. The Yemeni Armed Forces have launched a series of escalating military operations, including missile and drone attacks and the imposition of naval and aerial blockades, targeting Israeli-linked interests and infrastructure.

Initially focusing on the Red Sea and the port of Umm Al-Rashrash (Eilat), Yemen disrupted Israeli and international shipping routes. In May 2025, the campaign reached a new phase with the declaration of a naval blockade on Haifa Port in northern occupied Palestine, signaling both strategic escalation and expanding operational reach.

Amid this backdrop, Israeli media outlets have increasingly acknowledged the effectiveness of Yemen’s operations and their growing impact on Israeli security and economy, reinforcing the perception that only a political solution—namely, ending the war on Gaza—can halt the rising Yemeni attacks.
