Israeli media reported that sirens were activated in more than 120 "settlements" in central occupied Palestine. Simultaneously, explosions were heard. The Israeli military announced it had detected a missile launched from Yemen and was attempting to intercept it.
Israeli news outlets confirmed that air traffic to and from Lod Airport was suspended in conjunction with the missile alert and the detected missile from Yemen.
Channel 12 reported this was the third time in two days that Yemen had launched ballistic missiles toward "Israel." Since fighting resumed in Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces have reportedly launched 44 ballistic missiles and drones.
The channel also noted that Israeli security authorities estimate the launches from Yemen will continue as long as the fighting in Gaza persists.
Israeli media platforms circulated footage of the sirens triggered by the Yemeni missile’s entry into occupied Palestinian airspace, along with clips showing Israeli attempts to intercept the missile over Hebron.
This marks the third instance in 24 hours that sirens have sounded in the Israeli entity due to Yemeni military operations in support of Gaza.
