Yemen’s Air Defenses Promise ‘Painful Surprise’ for Israeli Enemy Aircraft

News - Yemen: The Supreme Commander of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Field Marshal Mahdi Mohammed Al-Mashat, vowed to down Israeli enemy aircraft and turn them into a subject of ridicule.

In statements to Al Mayadeen TV, Field Marshal Al-Mashat stated: "Our Armed Forces will be able to deal with the hostile Zionist aircraft without any harm to air or maritime navigation."

Out of concern for the safety of air and maritime navigation in the operational zones of the Armed Forces, President Al-Mashat directed the identification of the routes used by the Zionist enemy to attack Yemen as danger zones for all companies.

He further emphasized: "For their own safety, companies must avoid navigation along the routes used by the Zionist entity to attack our country."

Earlier Yemen's President Mahdi al-Mashat reaffirmed that Yemen will not retreat from its decision to support Gaza until the aggression ceases and the blockade is lifted.

During his visit on Wednesday to Sana’a International Airport after been targeted by a Zionist aggression, President al-Mashat stated that "the criminal aggression carried out by the Israeli enemy today at Sana’a Airport will not deter us, rather, it will drive us to do even more." He added, "Our men will come with aircraft, and the airport will return, Allah willing."

He also confirmed that Yemen’s air defenses are capable of handling F-35 fighter jets, stating "what had prevented us from acting before was their hiding near civilian aviation, which will now force us to close navigation in their airspace so that our defenses can engage them effectively.
On Wednesday, the Zionist enemy launched an airstrike targeting Sana’a International Airport, Yemen’s primary air travel hub and a critical piece of national infrastructure. According to Al-Masirah’s correspondent in Sana’a, enemy warplanes carried out four strikes, hitting the airport’s runway and a Yemenia Airlines aircraft.

This attack is part of a broader pattern of aggression that Yemen has faced in recent years, involving US, Saudi, British, and Israeli forces. The airport, which plays a vital role in serving both civilian passengers and humanitarian aid operations, has been repeatedly targeted, raising serious concerns over the impact on innocent civilians and the obstruction of essential services. The continued targeting of such facilities represents a dangerous escalation in an already volatile regional situation.
