News- Middle East: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says Israel’s acts of aggression against Iran is threatening security and sparking a broader conflict across West Asia.

During a phone call with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, Erdogan's office said he told Putin that the "lawless attitude" of Benjamin Netanyahu's regime "poses a clear threat to the international system.”

"The spiral of violence that began with Israel's attacks on Iran has put the security of the entire region at risk," Erdogan was quoted as saying.

The Turkish president also emphasized that West Asia "cannot tolerate a new war."

The Kremlin said in its readout of the call that Putin and Erdogan used the conversation to call for an "immediate" end to fighting between Israel and Iran.

"The leaders called for an immediate end to hostilities and the settlement of contentious issues, including those related to Iran's nuclear program, exclusively through political and diplomatic means," the Kremlin said in its readout of the call.

International condemnation of Israeli aggression against Iran continues to pour in.

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif earlier sounded the alarm about the “disastrous consequences” of Western support for Israel, calling on Muslim states to unite against the occupying regime.

The senior Pakistani official said in a message posted on X on Monday that Western countries’ all-out support for the unruly Tel Aviv rulers will lead to the spread of conflicts in the region, with its “disastrous consequences” spilling across the borders of West Asia.

Iran’s Health Minister Mohammadreza Zafarghandi says the majority of the victims of Israeli assaults on Iran in recent days are civilians, including a significant number of women and children.

Zafarghandi said on Sunday that medical teams across the country have been actively treating the injured following the Israeli regime’s terrorist attacks that started early Friday on Tehran and several other cities.

In the early hours of June 13, Israel launched unprovoked assaults against the Islamic Republic of Iran, assassinating high-ranking Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists, which also martyred over 70 civilians, including women and children.

The Tel Aviv regime also carried out large-scale military aggression in multiple locations inside Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, military infrastructure, and residential buildings in Tehran and other cities.

Iran soon launched its retaliatory Operation True Promise III against the Israeli regime by firing a barrage of missiles toward the occupied Palestinian territories on Friday night.

The operation began immediately after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei delivered a televised message, saying that the “despicable” Israeli regime would be “rendered helpless” following reprisal by the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces.
