Bloomberg: Israel’s War Bill Hits $3B—Defenses Breached, Economy Crippled

News - World: The American agency Bloomberg estimated the losses suffered by the Zionist entity in its war with Iran at $3 billion, covering building repairs and compensation payments to businesses.

In its report, Bloomberg stated that the scale of the occupation’s losses demonstrates the extent of Iran’s penetration of "Israeli" defenses during nearly two weeks of missile strikes.

The American outlet quoted an enemy government official saying: "This is the biggest challenge we’ve faced—there has never been this level of damage in Israel’s history."

Official data from the Zionist entity’s Finance Ministry indicated that the extent of the destruction reveals how Iranian missiles breached Israeli defense systems over the two-week missile campaign.

Shay Aharonovich, Director General of the Tax Authority, echoed: "What happened was the greatest challenge we’ve encountered—there has never been such damage in Israel’s history."

These estimates do not include the cost of replacing weapons and defense systems used, which is expected to push total losses even higher once assessments are complete.

In this context, Zionist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich projected total losses could reach $12 billion. Bank of Israel Governor Amir Yaron also estimated half that amount in a Bloomberg TV interview.

Regardless of the final figure, Bloomberg noted it "poses a challenge to an economy already strained by 20 months of broader conflict."

The clashes erupted on June 13 after the Israeli occupation launched an aggression against the Islamic Republic with a barrage of drones and missiles. Iran responded by bombing the occupation entity, targeting military, security, and economic sites until a ceasefire was declared last Tuesday dawn.

The Israeli economy was almost entirely paralyzed, with schools and businesses (except "essential" institutions) shut down.

The Finance Ministry estimated business compensation could reach 5 billion shekels—double what the government paid for damages since October 2023, including Hamas attacks and Hezbollah strikes on northern settlements.
