News - Yemen: The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) strongly condemned the brutal Israeli aggression that targeted facilities at the Ras Issa oil port, describing the attack as “a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, and a continuation of the systematic policy of targeting Yemen’s infrastructure and national resources.”

In a statement issued on Monday, the company reassured citizens that the supply situation remains completely stable. It confirmed that distribution operations are proceeding as usual, and activity at the targeted facilities resumed this morning—ensuring no disruption to the local fuel market.

The company affirmed that the Zionist aggression failed to achieve any of its objectives, reflecting the confusion and desperation of the aggressors in the face of the Yemeni people’s resilience and steadfastness. It also expressed appreciation for the heroes of the Yemeni Armed Forces, whose actions were instrumental in confronting the aggression and thwarting much of its intended damage.

The statement noted that the Israeli aggression represent a desperate attempt to punish the Yemeni people and deter them from fulfilling their humanitarian, religious, and national duty to support Gaza. It stressed that such attacks will only strengthen Yemen’s resolve and will never succeed in breaking its will or silencing its voice in defense of the oppressed.

The company added that it had previously implemented precautionary measures and emergency plans, which played an effective role in minimizing both material and human losses the enemy aimed to inflict.

The Israeli aggression on Yemen marks a dangerous escalation in the broader regional conflict ignited by the Zionist war on Gaza. On Sunday night, Israeli warplanes launched at least 20 airstrikes on civilian infrastructure in Hodeidah, targeting key facilities including the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and As-Salif, as well as a power station. The strikes followed open threats by the Israeli military to attack Yemeni ports over alleged military activities.

This comes as part of Israel's attempts to undermine the Yemeni Armed Forces, which have taken a frontline role in enforcing a strategic blockade on vessels heading toward Israeli-controlled ports. The blockade is intended to pressure the Israeli enemy by disrupting its supply chains, particularly those involving military logistics, and to draw global attention to the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, over 57,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza due to relentless Israeli ground and aerial operations. In response, the Yemeni Armed Forces declared open support for the Palestinian resistance and pledged to continue missile and drone attacks on Israeli positions until the aggression on Gaza ceases.
