Students from both public and private schools took part in the marches, waving Yemeni and Palestinian flags and chanting slogans expressing outrage against the Zionist occupation.
Participants carried banners and raised chants affirming their steadfastness and full readiness to sacrifice in defense of the Palestinian people.
During the rallies, local and educational officials—including Talib Dahan, Deputy Governor of Sana'a for the Education and Youth Sector—emphasized that these events reflect the principled and faith-driven stance of the Yemeni people in support of Gaza and their firm rejection of the crimes committed by the occupation.
Students in Sana'a Governorate expressed pride in the positions of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, particularly his decision to activate the fourth phase of the naval blockade against the Zionist enemy in support of their Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza.
A statement issued during the marches condemned the silence and complicity of Arab and Islamic regimes, stating that such inaction makes them partners in the crimes being committed against the Palestinian people, who continue to face killing and starvation.
The statement called on Arab and Islamic peoples and governments to boycott the goods and products of American and Zionist companies that support the occupying entity, stressing that boycott is “an effective and powerful weapon accessible to everyone.”
The statement reaffirmed the continuation of student-led activities and events—including vigils and evening gatherings—in support of truth and to expose the crimes of the enemy. It also encouraged strong participation in commemorating the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday and adopting the life of the Prophet as a guiding example.
Since October 2023, the Israeli war on Gaza has triggered widespread outrage across the Arab and Islamic world. The relentless bombardment, complete blockade, and use of starvation as a weapon of war have resulted in tens of thousands of civilian deaths, most of them women and children. These atrocities have sparked waves of solidarity protests, particularly in countries like Yemen, where popular support for Palestine runs deep.
In Yemen, the war on Gaza has become a central cause uniting various segments of society. The Yemeni government in Sana'a has declared open support for Gaza, both rhetorically and militarily, including naval operations aimed at pressuring the Israeli enemy and its allies. The public response has been equally strong, with youth, educators, clerics, and tribes organizing continuous rallies and campaigns.
