News - Middle East: Spokesman for the Islamic Jihad Movement, Mohammad Al-Hajj Mousa, described the Zionist enemy’s declaration of its decision to fully occupy the Gaza Strip as “a new chapter in the escalation of aggression and genocide” in the territory.

In an exclusive statement to Al-Masirah TV, he warned that this decision portends the perpetration of more massacres across the Strip, aiming to realize the dream of ethnic cleansing and the displacement of the Palestinian people.

He stressed that the main goal of the occupation is to uproot the Palestinian people, affirming that the Resistance will not make any concessions in the face of the “genocidal war” targeting the Palestinian existence. He pointed out that the occupation continues its crimes, taking advantage of the absence of accountability and prosecution at the international, Arab, and Islamic levels.

Regarding negotiations, Al-Hajj said the Resistance had shown “all necessary flexibility and goodwill to stop the war and aggression” from day one, noting that its concessions were made “to the Palestinian people, not to the occupation” in pursuit of an agreement to end the genocide and starvation war.

He held the United States responsible for the failure of the negotiation process, describing it as “the devil leading this war, not a mediator.”

He explained that the US provides the occupation with the time and opportunity to continue the war, and bears responsibility for the collapse of negotiations that the occupation constantly undermines. He stressed that the Resistance has a clear plan based on “staying firm across the geography of Gaza and continuing attrition operations.”

Al-Hajj reaffirmed that the Palestinian people will not leave their land, and the Resistance will not back down, continuing to defend its people. He called on all Arabs and Muslims who want to “preserve their national security” to confront this “Zionist conspiracy” by targeting the interests of the US and other states supporting the occupation.

He praised the supportive stances of certain countries, such as South Africa and Colombia, urging them to escalate their actions and abandon “the luxury of issuing statements” that do nothing to change the reality on the ground.

He also delivered a strong message to Arab and Islamic peoples, urging them to wake up and take practical action rather than merely posting on social media, reminding them that “history will not forget the stances of those complicit and conspirators in carrying out the crime of genocide in Gaza.”

Israel’s war cabinet approved on Friday a military blueprint to capture Gaza City and tighten its grip on the blockaded strip, which has been relentlessly bombarded since the genocidal war began on October 7, 2023. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier declared the regime’s intent to “take control” of the entire Palestinian territory, where more than 61,300 Palestinians—most of them women and children—have been killed over the past 22 months.
