News - Middle East: The Political Bureau of Ansarullah strongly condemned the action taken by the ruling armed group in Syria, which officially announced a direct meeting with the Zionist enemy in Paris under the pretext of reducing regional escalation.

Ansarullah’s political bureau noted in a statement that this comes “at a time when the criminal Netanyahu has announced escalatory steps to occupy Gaza, continues storming and desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque, and is moving toward the announcement of the so-called ‘Greater Israel’ project, coinciding with the so-called New Middle East plan.”

The statement added: “While Israeli hostile operations against Syria continue, including the occupation of strategic areas in southern Syria and direct Zionist intervention in the events in Sweida, the hands of the new rulers in Damascus reach out for open normalization with the Zionist enemy, in a blatant betrayal of the sacrifices and rights of the Syrian people.”

“All the false slogans raised by the armed group have been exposed, proving that they are merely tools moving according to foreign directives serving the Zionist project, with no real regard for religious principles, faith values, or national ideals,” it added.

Political Bureau of Ansarullah emphasized “the necessity of stopping the rush down paths of religious and moral betrayal at the expense of nations, Arab peoples’ rights, and the sacrifices and blood of martyrs.”

The statement concluded by affirming that Syria has been resilient and must remain so, and whoever thinks they can escape the enemy’s insatiable expansionist project is deluded and will gain nothing but the wind.

The remarks follow reports that Syrian officials met with an Israeli delegation in Paris to discuss de-escalation, security arrangements along the Palestinian-Syrian border, and the 1974 disengagement agreement. Earlier talks also explored a potential humanitarian corridor to southern Syria and intelligence cooperation against Hezbollah and Iranian influence, highlighting ongoing regional negotiations amid rising tensions.
