Yemeni President Al-Mashat Vows Retaliation for Israeli Aggression, Reaffirms Support for Gaza

News – Yemen: Yemen's President Mahdi Al-Mashat pledged a firm response to the latest Israeli aggression on Sana’a, vowing that the enemy would face “dark days” as a consequence of its aggression.

In a condolence address following the assassination of Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi and several cabinet ministers in Thursday’s aggression, Al-Mashat declared: “Our revenge will not sleep. Dark days await you as a result of your treacherous government’s crimes. The Yemeni Armed Forces remain fully capable, and what the enemy achieved was nothing more than a stroke of luck.”

Al-Mashat reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast position on Palestine, emphasizing: “Our stance will not change until the aggression ends and the siege on Gaza is lifted, no matter how great the challenge.”

He further called on international companies to withdraw from Israel and urged settlers to return to their countries of origin. “The pure blood of martyrs has toppled empires that once ruled the world—let alone a fragile and temporary entity,” he warned.

Al-Mashat concluded: “We will meet challenge with challenge. The enemy will no longer taste security. Allah is with us, and victory is our destiny. Freedom comes at the price of blood, and we are a people of sacrifice, resilience, and defiance.”

Israeli warplanes carried out a series of air raids on Sana’a on Thursday evening, striking civilian infrastructure, public service facilities, and densely populated areas. Among the casualties were senior government officials, including Prime Minister Al-Rahwi.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Israeli entity has launched more than 11 attacks on Yemen, most of them targeting non-military sites such as the Haziz power station, facilities of the Yemen Oil Company, cement factories in Amran and Bajil, Hodeidah port, and Sana’a International Airport.

The escalation comes against the backdrop of Israel’s intensified assault on Gaza, and highlights Yemen’s role in the broader regional confrontation, where it has consistently positioned itself as a supporter of Palestinian resistance and an opponent of foreign aggression.
