Ansarullah Vows Retaliation After Israeli Aggression Kills Yemeni Leaders

News – Yemen: The Political Bureau of Ansarullah has vowed retaliation against the Israeli enemy following the assassination of Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi and several cabinet ministers in an Israeli aggression on Sana’a last Thursday.

In a statement, the bureau condemned the strike as a “cowardly Israeli aggression” and a war crime, stressing that it reflects the broader pattern of Israeli assaults across the region — from Palestine and Lebanon to Syria, Iran, and now Yemen.

The statement described the slain officials as “martyrs on the path to Al-Quds, whose blood has been united with that of the oppressed people of Palestine,” adding that their deaths embody Yemen’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause. “From their positions of responsibility, they carried the banner of Palestine alongside Yemen’s banner,” the bureau affirmed.

Ansarullah pledged that Yemen will remain steadfast in supporting Gaza and Palestine, warning that “dark days await the Zionist entity. Vengeance will not rest; the coming days, nights, and battlefields will decide — victory or martyrdom.”

The airstrikes on Sana’a, which struck civilian infrastructure and populated neighborhoods, killed Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi along with several ministers.

The attacks mark Israel’s 11th strike on Yemen since the beginning of 2025, most of which have hit non-military targets such as power stations, factories, the port of Hodeidah, and Sana’a International Airport.

Earlier, President Mahdi Al-Mashat vowed direct confrontation with Israel, declaring: “We will meet challenge with challenge. The enemy will no longer taste security. Allah is with us, and victory is our destiny, no matter how long it takes.”

Analysts note that the assassination of Yemeni leaders highlights Israel’s growing alarm over Yemen’s role in the regional conflict, particularly its missile and drone strikes and naval operations that have disrupted Israeli supply lines and undermined security in the Red Sea.
