In a statement issued Sunday, Sheikh Qassem said that the enemy resorted to targeting civilian leaders engaged in serving the people because it was incapable of confronting the Armed Forces and resistance leaders on the battlefield. He stressed that this crime would further strengthen Yemen’s resolve, adding: “The lesson is in the end: disgrace and humiliating downfall for the Zionist entity.”
He affirmed that Yemen — through its leadership, government, people, and Armed Forces — would remain a shining beacon of freedom and a defender of Palestine and Gaza, while the Israeli crime only exposes the entity’s bankruptcy and barbarity.
Palestinian Resistance Factions: Martyrdom of Yemeni Leaders Strengthens the Struggle for Al-Quds
The Palestinian Resistance Committees and Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades also mourned the assassination of Prime Minister Al-Rahwi. In a statement Sunday, they affirmed that the Yemeni premier and his companions were martyred “on the path to the liberation of Al-Quds and Palestine, by a treacherous Zionist strike.”
The factions extended condolences to the leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, stressing that the “pure blood” of the Yemeni leaders would hasten the downfall of the Zionist entity:
“This crime will only increase Yemen’s determination to continue jihad and resistance until this fascist entity is uprooted.”
They added that the Yemeni people’s sacrifices will remain a guiding light for Palestine, pledging that one day the portraits of Yemen’s martyrs will be raised on the walls and minarets of Al-Quds.
The Israeli enemy escalated its aggression by assassinating Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmad Ghalib Al-Rahwi in a targeted strike on Sana’a. The move has triggered a wave of regional outrage, with observers saying it signals Israel’s failure to confront resistance militarily and a desperate attempt to break Yemen’s morale.
