News - Yemen Mohammed Muftah, the Acting Prime Minister of Yemen, affirmed on Wednesday that serving the people is both “an honor and a duty,” stressing that ministers wounded in the recent Israeli aggression will soon return “with stronger morale and greater resolve.”

His statement came during a luncheon organized by the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in the capital Sana’a for orphans and residents of social care centers. The event, held to mark the Prophet’s birthday, also honored the martyred members of the government who were killed in the latest attacks.

Muftah emphasized that the government will continue to provide broad support to the people and is committed to addressing their concerns. He acknowledged the significant challenges facing the country but urged citizens to show understanding for issues the government cannot immediately resolve, assuring that such matters remain a top priority and will not be neglected.

The remarks follow an Israeli airstrike in late August that killed Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahwi and several ministers in Sana’a, a move denounced by Yemeni officials as a war crime intended to cripple governance. Instead, the attack has reinforced the government’s resolve to carry on what it calls the path of “change and construction.”
