News - Yemen: Yemen has carried out a qualitative military operation, targeting Lod Airport in the occupied city of Jaffa with a "Zulfiqar" ballistic missile. This was in response to the crimes of the Zionist enemy in Yemen and in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

He indicated that the operation caused a state of panic in the temporary entity, leading millions of settlers to flee to shelters and suspending air navigation operations at Lod Airport, which is one of the enemy's most vital infrastructure facilities.

The military spokesperson emphasized that this operation comes "in response to the brutal crimes committed by the Zionist enemy entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza, including killing, starvation, and siege," and as part of the initial response to the Zionist targeting of Yemeni territories.

He pointed out that the passive, and even complicit, Arab and Islamic stance encourages the enemy to proceed with implementing its criminal plan against the Palestinian people, warning that the silence of the regimes will lead to a greater humanitarian catastrophe.

He stressed that the Yemeni people will continue their full and ongoing support for the people of Gaza until the aggression is stopped and the siege is lifted, calling on Arab and Islamic peoples to take serious action and assume their religious and humanitarian responsibilities.

Yemen has increasingly positioned itself as a frontline actor in defending the Palestinian cause, framing its military operations as both retaliation for Israeli aggression on Yemeni soil and solidarity with the people of Gaza, who continue to face blockade, starvation, and mass casualties from ongoing Israeli assaults.

The Yemeni forces have been staging hundreds of such pro-Palestinian operations against numerous Israeli targets since the Israeli genocidal war against Gaza was launched. The genocide has so far claimed the lives of more than 63,700 Palestinians, mostly women and children, since its onset.
