News - Yemen: In a keynote address marking the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Mawlid al-Nabawi) on Thursday, Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi described the occasion as more than a religious commemoration, calling it a strategic moment for reflection, reassessment, and charting a comprehensive roadmap for the Muslim Ummah across political, military, and social spheres amid a dangerous era of enemy domination.

He stressed that Islam “does not accept defeat,” asserting that adherence to the Qur’an and emulation of the Prophet’s example are the only guarantees to preserve the Ummah’s identity and dignity in the face of aggression and foreign hegemony.

Sayyed Abdulmalik attributed continued Zionist influence in the region and ongoing crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Yemen, and Iraq to the Muslim world’s estrangement from the Prophet and the Qur’an, describing it as a practical, dynamic guide. He said Arab regimes’ silence reflects deep complicity that endangers the future, sovereignty, and sanctities of their peoples.

On the military front, he reaffirmed that jihad is a fixed doctrinal choice, situating Yemen’s resistance as part of the wider Ummah’s struggle against American-Zionist aggression and hegemony. He drew historical parallels to early Islamic battles with Jewish tribes, which he argued set precedents for confronting hostility and conspiracy today.

The speech also warned against reliance on “false diplomacy and violated international charters,” instead urging a unified stance grounded in justice and Islamic values. The leader called on “People of the Book” to seek common ground, invoking the universal principles of the Prophet’s message.

He highlighted the mass rallies across Yemen marking Mawlid al-Nabawi as evidence of popular strength, unity, and historical continuity, framing them as a signal of resilience in support of Palestine and other oppressed peoples.
