News - Yemen: Member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, issued a message to Arab and Islamic leaders meeting Monday in Doha, Qatar, following the recent Israeli attack that targeted a Hamas delegation in the Qatari capital.

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, al-Houthi stated: “My message to the summit convening tomorrow in Doha is that the strongest stance is to affirm the legitimacy of resistance against the occupier, support its struggle, and declare that the Israeli enemy is a terrorist entity.” He added that adopting this position would help restore deterrence and halt further aggression and lawlessness. 

He emphasized that translating these declarations into practical measures represents “true support against the genocide in Gaza and the crimes of the enemies in the region.”

The Arab and Islamic leaders are scheduled to convene on Monday in Doha to assess the fallout from the Israeli strike on the Hamas delegation and to determine Qatar’s response.

The summit in Doha comes amid heightened regional tensions following an Israeli attack on a diplomatic delegation, widely condemned across the Arab and Muslim world. 

The Houthi message underscores ongoing Yemeni support for Palestinian resistance and the broader narrative of confronting Israeli enemy actions in the region. Analysts note that the summit could set the tone for collective political and diplomatic measures in response to escalating hostilities in Gaza.
