News - Yemen: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yemen’s government on Monday issued a strong appeal to the emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened in Doha, calling on leaders to move beyond “statements of condemnation” and take concrete measures against the Israeli enemy.

In a statement released earlier in the day, the ministry stressed that the unfolding events in Palestine are not solely a Palestinian matter, but a cause for the entire Muslim and Arab world. “The Zionist entity, openly pursuing expansionist ambitions, poses a grave danger not only to Palestine but to the entire region,” the ministry said, describing Palestine as “the first line of defense for the nation” and affirming that supporting it is a “existential duty, not a political option.”

The ministry emphasized that the time for silence had passed, insisting that “communiqués and denunciations have failed to deter aggression” and that the current moment demands a unified and forceful stance. It urged Arab and Muslim nations to close ranks and overcome internal divisions, warning that disunity only serves the interests of their adversaries.

The Arab and Islamic leaders are scheduled to convene on Monday in Doha to assess the fallout from the Israeli strike on the Hamas delegation and to determine Qatar’s response.

The summit in Doha comes amid heightened regional tensions following an Israeli attack on a diplomatic delegation, widely condemned across the Arab and Muslim world.
