News - Yemen: Widespread solidarity protests took place across Sana’a on Monday, with participants rallying to reaffirm Yemen’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people.

Organized in several districts and neighborhoods of the capital, the demonstrations drew social and tribal figures who denounced the continued “massacres” by Israeli forces and criticized the shameful Arab and Islamic abandonment and blatant international complicity. 

Protesters reiterated their commitment to escalate support for Palestine regardless of the sacrifices required, and expressed readiness to follow all deterrent options announced by the Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi.

Speakers warned anyone who attempts to target the domestic front under any pretext—seen as serving American and Israeli interests—that they will face broad popular resistance, and they pledged cooperation with security and judicial authorities to pursue and confront “traitors and collaborators.”

Demonstrators also voiced solidarity with Arabs and Muslims targeted by Israeli attacks, citing most recently the strike on the Hamas negotiating delegation’s offices in Doha.

Statements issued at the rallies framed struggle as a religious duty, asserting that jihad in Allah’s cause is the sole path to the nation’s dignity and strength, and that abandoning it would bring humiliation and loss. The statements added that Israeli crimes against the Yemeni people will only reinforce Yemenis’ resolve, faith, and trust in eventual victory, and argued that supporting and intensifying resistance is the safest means to deter further Israeli aggression across the Arab and Islamic world. The communiqués also warned Arab and Islamic states of the danger posed by Israeli plans to impose rules of impunity.

The demonstrations come amid intensified regional tensions following heavy Israeli operations in Gaza and recent strikes affecting regional actors and diplomatic missions. Public mobilization in Sana’a reflects growing popular outrage across parts of the Arab world and a hardening of positions among factions in Yemen that view escalation and direct support for resistance groups as the primary response to Israeli actions.
