Yemen's Foreign Ministry: Doha Summit Outcomes, Similar to Previous Ones, Encourage Israeli Arrogance and Crimes

News - Middle East: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the lack of decisive and practical measures from recent Arab and Islamic summits, saying such inaction encourages the Israeli enemy to continue its genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, attacks on regional countries, and weakens other states’ positions on this just humanitarian cause.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the ministry reacted to the Doha Summit’s final statement, which it described as largely repetitive, dominated by expressions of condemnation, without any concrete measures to restrain Israeli aggression.

The ministry called the summit’s outcomes “disappointing to the hopes and aspirations of Arab and Islamic peoples,” noting that it failed to adopt serious steps that could compel the Israeli enemy to comply with international law, end its siege and attacks on Gaza, and halt its threats to neighboring countries.

It emphasized that the summit fell short of addressing the existential threat posed by the Israeli enemy to the Arab and Islamic world at large, at a time when these nations expected strong decisions, including cutting diplomatic and trade relations with the Israeli enemy, enforcing a comprehensive boycott, breaking the Gaza blockade, and supporting the steadfast Palestinian people and fighters.

The ministry highlighted that while the summit convened, Palestinian blood was being shed in Gaza, and the US signaled that the Israeli enemy would not act alone. Before the summit’s ink had dried, the Israeli army began a ground invasion aimed at taking control of Gaza City.

It noted that some non-Arab and non-Islamic countries had already taken advanced positions in support of the Palestinian cause, while many Arab and Islamic states failed to go beyond mere condemnation. The ministry stressed that the Israeli enemy responds only to strength, not statements or symbolic gestures, and that rights can only be secured through firm political and on-the-ground action.

Yemen reiterated its continued support for Gaza and its resilient people by all available means, regardless of the sacrifices required, until the aggression and siege imposed by the Israeli enemy end.

The statement also praised the constructive positions of certain Islamic countries during the summit, particularly Malaysia and Pakistan, which proposed practical measures that could make an impact if adopted by other participating states.

The attack on the Palestinian negotiation delegation in Doha marks a sharp escalation in Israeli operations targeting key political and diplomatic figures outside occupied Palestine.

Analysts note that this incident highlights the continued influence of US support in Israeli military actions and underscores the vulnerability of Arab states to regional aggression.
