News - Yemen : The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) on Wednesday condemned the “heinous crime of the Zionist fascist state” after the Israeli enemy's warplanes again struck Yemen’s Hodeidah port and other civilian sites.

In a statement, the DFLP said Israeli aggression in the Red Sea now threatens not only Yemen but the national security of all Arab states along the waterway. It cited Zionist's recent attack against Qatar as further proof that the occupation “has no regard for regional security, state sovereignty, or even peace treaties and normalization agreements with Arab countries.”

The group urged Arab states bordering the Red Sea to adopt a “strategic step” toward fully “Arabizing” security in the region, including closing its skies and waters to Israeli military activity.

The DFLP also expressed solidarity with Yemen and praised its decision to stand by the Palestinian people in Gaza, stressing that Palestinians and Yemenis are fighting “in the same trench” until Israeli enemy’s war and starvation campaign against Gaza ends.

Israeli enemy’s military operations against Yemen have sharply escalated since July 2025, targeting ports, fuel facilities, and media sites in what the entity claims are strikes against support for Gaza. The raids have killed scores of civilians and widened the conflict’s reach into the Red Sea, a vital global shipping artery. 

Analysts warn that unchecked Zionist operations—carried out with US backing and involving Gulf airspace—risk transforming the Red Sea into a theater of open confrontation, prompting renewed Arab calls for a unified regional security framework independent of foreign control.
