In a comprehensive address on Thursday, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi asserted that the Israeli enemy, with full American support, is pursuing a project of “changing the Middle East” that poses a comprehensive danger to the entire region. He emphasized that “the weapon of resistance is a safety valve and a fortress to protect peoples and ward off genocide from them.”
A significant portion of the address focused on the Doha summit, which he argued failed to produce practical outcomes commensurate with the participating nations’ resources and geographic positions. He noted that the Israeli enemy mocked the summit’s outputs, considering them to hold no value.
Sayyed Abdulmalik proposed several concrete measures the summit could have adopted to limit the aggression:
Severing relations with the Israeli entity, a step he deemed both possible and impactful.
Closing airspace to Israeli flights, noting some countries had partially taken this step in the past.
Delisting Palestinian factions such as the Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad as “terrorist” groups and offering them political, media, and material support.
Halting oil exports that are used to fuel the enemy’s mechanisms and aircraft.
He contrasted the European support for Ukraine with billions in aid and weapons to the Arab-Islamic summit’s inability to declare clear financial or political support for the Palestinian people.
On American Role and Arab Inaction
The leader confirmed that the United States is a fundamental partner in the Zionist project, providing absolute and open support to the Israeli enemy. He pointed out that American military and intelligence facilitate operations of aggression in the region.
He expressed bewilderment that “many Arab regimes have besieged their own people from any movement in support of the Palestinian people, criminalizing it and punishing it with imprisonment.” He questioned why leaders could not stop their oil from reaching the Israeli enemy, stating, “We did not demand governments go to war with the Israeli enemy, but why don’t you cut your relations with it? Why don’t you stop your support and cooperation with it?”
Call for a Quranic Standard
Sayyed Abdulmalik called upon the nation to calibrate its positions according to the Quranic standard to identify the enemy and correct practical solutions. He stated, “Know the enemy through the Quran so that your positions may be correct and effective,” and “Know the practical solutions through the Noble Quran so that you may proceed with what is the most upright stance and the most beneficial and positively impactful.”
He considered the summit’s approach of helplessness and lack of stance in the face of the Israeli enemy’s hatred and ambitions as encouraging to the enemy, revealing “a clear disregard for the guidance of the Quran at a time when the nation is in need of effective collective action.”
The leader's speech carried a strong warning message about the expanding circle of Israeli aggression and the absence of practical stances from Arab and Islamic governments. It called for collective action based on Quranic awareness and practical, deterrent steps—starting with cutting relations with the enemy and supporting the Palestinian resistance politically, materially, and in the media—ultimately leading to unified ranks to repel the projects of global Zionism that threaten everyone without exception.
The speech comes in the wake of the recent Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, which the leader characterized as producing “weak and low-level outcomes.”
