News - Yemen: Hamas representative in Yemen, Muath Abu Shomala, reaffirmed on Monday his deep appreciation for the efforts of Yemeni forces in supporting the Palestinian people and their steadfast resistance in Gaza.

Abu Shomala stressed that Yemen’s stance is unique among Muslim nations and has exceeded all expectations, noting that “Yemen has borne every challenge with strength and determination, and remains present on all fronts in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza.”

He further emphasized that the Palestinian people’s resilience in holding onto their land and sacred rights, despite the aggression, will continue “until the liberation of all of Palestine.”

Abu Shomala also condemned the ongoing Israeli enemy campaign in Gaza and other occupied territories, describing it as a “comprehensive war of extermination” targeting both land and people.

Since late 2023, Yemen has intensified operations in response to the Israeli enemy’s war on Gaza, combining a naval blockade of Israel-linked shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden with long-range missile and drone strikes deep inside occupied territories. The latest escalation, including hypersonic and suspected multiple-warhead missiles, has amplified pressure on Israel’s security establishment and provoked retaliatory strikes on Yemen.
