Gaza Death Toll from Famine Rises to 453, Including 150 Children

News - Middle East: The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Tuesday that the death toll from malnutrition caused by the Zionist entity’s ongoing starvation policy has risen to 453, including 150 children.

In its statement, the ministry confirmed that since the start of the Israeli enemy’s genocide campaign on October 7, 2023, a total of 453 Palestinians have died due to famine and malnutrition. This figure includes 175 deaths—among them 35 children—recorded since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared famine in Gaza in August.

The IPC initially declared famine in Gaza City on August 22, warning it would likely spread to Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis by the end of September.

Since March 2, the Israeli enemy has completely sealed all crossings into Gaza, preventing humanitarian aid from entering despite the accumulation of relief trucks at the borders.

Supported by the United States, the Israeli enemy has waged a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 66,055 martyrs and 168,346 wounded.

Since October 2023, the Israeli enemy has imposed a total blockade on Gaza, cutting off food, medicine, and fuel, while relentlessly bombing residential areas. UN experts and international rights groups have warned that the deliberate starvation policy is part of a broader campaign of genocide, designed to break Palestinian resistance by targeting civilians.

Despite global appeals and relief convoys stalled at Gaza’s borders, the Zionist entity—backed by the United States—continues to enforce the siege, driving the enclave into catastrophic famine.
