News - Yemen: The Association of Yemeni Scholars held an event on Wednesday marking two years since the Al-Aqsa Flood, reaffirming Yemen’s firm stance in support of Gaza and warning against Trump’s deceptive plan — a surrender, not a peace plan.

Grand Mufti of Yemen, scholar Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, said in remarks at the event that the Ummah is facing a new deception from Trump and Netanyahu, calling the initiative a plan of surrender rather than peace. He urged resistance factions not to rely on Trump’s plan or yield to regional pressures.

“Allah has shown us many signs in this struggle; we must increase our resolve and determination,” he added.

The Association issued a statement praising the wise decisions of the leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi and the Yemeni forces’ operations in support of Gaza over the past two years, affirming the legitimacy of the Al-Aqsa Flood campaign and the soundness of its leadership’s choices.

The statement condemned Trump’s plan and the threats against Hamas, calling for a strong rejection rather than any welcome; it said acceptance of the plan is unacceptable under any circumstances.

Yemeni scholars also declared their solidarity with Hezbollah, warning that any attack on Hezbollah’s weapons or Hamas’s arsenal would be a grave betrayal and a free service to the Israeli enemy.

They pledged to continue following the path of the martyr of Islam and humanity, Sayyed Nasrallah, to remain faithful to his course and to seek retribution in his name.

The Al-Aqsa Flood operation, launched by Palestinian resistance factions in October 2023, marked a turning point in the confrontation with the Zionist entity and reshaped regional dynamics. Yemen quickly declared full support, both politically and militarily, positioning its actions in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden as part of a broader struggle to defend Gaza and the Palestinian cause.

In parallel, US and Zionist leaders — including Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu — have pushed what they call a “peace plan,” which is nothing more than a scheme of capitulation. The plan seeks to pressure Hamas and other factions into disarmament and political concessions under the guise of “peace,” while in reality entrenching Israeli control.
