News- Middle East: An Israeli airstrike on a school in Gaza City’s al-Zaytun neighborhood followed by a drone attack on Palestinian Civil Defense personnel conducting rescue operations has killed dozens of people.

Continuing their crimes in Gaza, the Israeli regime’s warplanes bombed another school that sheltered hundreds of displaced people in the al-Zaytun neighborhood, killing 13, including women and children, and injuring dozens more on Wednesday.

Civil Defense forces, who had gone to al-Falah School to provide relief, were also fired upon by Israeli drones.

The Gaza Civil Defense announced that seven rescue and firefighting personnel were injured in a direct Israeli attack while trying to rescue the injured at the al-Falah School.

The Israeli regime’s airstrikes on homes and schools in Gaza have left at least 23 people dead since midnight.

The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza said that at least 51 people have been killed across Gaza in the last 24 hours, and 180 injured people have arrived at hospitals seeking treatment.

This takes the overall death toll to 66,148 people killed in Gaza since October 2023 and more than 160,000 people injured.

In the central Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli strike on al-Nuseirat refugee camp. Another person was killed and several others were injured in al-Bureij camp after a house was targeted.

Local sources report that Israeli forces used dozens of high-explosive bombs in the area, and also targeted houses in the Nuseirat camp with incendiary bombs.

Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have demolished or damaged numerous UNRWA schools and health centers in the Palestinian territories.

The Israeli military has bombed and mostly destroyed all 12 universities in Gaza and hundreds of primary and secondary schools.

More than 200 heritage sites, including mosques, churches, and libraries, have been destroyed.

Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has killed at least 66,097 people and wounded 168,536 since October 2023. Thousands more are believed to be buried under the rubble.
