Economic Expert Expects US Nearing 'Accelerated Economic Collapse,' Cites Yemen War as Key Factor

News - World: Economic expert Salim Al-Ja'dabi has asserted that the United States of America has reached a stage of incipient and accelerating economic collapse, marked by a noticeable rise in indicators of financial deficit. He considered Yemen to be one of the main causes that contributed to Washington reaching this economic crisis.

In a special statement to Almasirah, Al-Ja'dabi explained that the US government debt, which stood at approximately $15 trillion in 2015—accumulated since the nation's founding over 200 years prior—witnessed a significant increase coinciding with the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression on Yemen, reaching about $37 trillion today.

He added that Saudi Arabia itself recorded a government deficit for the first time in its history after beginning its aggression against Yemen, reflecting the scale of financial pressures resulting from engagement in military operations.

The economic expert Al-Ja'dabi indicated that the deeper the American involvement in the aggression against Yemen, the greater the economic and financial challenges, including what is known as the "US federal government shutdown," which signifies the government's inability to pay operational expenses as a result of military engagement in Yemen.

Al-Ja'dabi confirmed that the repercussions were not limited to internal financial aspects alone but extended to directly impact American economic foundations after Washington entered the Red Sea to support the Zionist enemy, despite the military power of US aircraft carriers and warships.

He explained that market indicators during the period of operations showed a drop in the stock index from 108 to about 96 points, while the gold index rose significantly, exceeding 250%.

He asserted that these data points prove the strength of the US dollar but simultaneously indicate that it has lost about 97% to 98% of its real value due to financial and economic slippages linked to the aggression on Yemen.

Al-Ja'dabi concluded that the current American economic crisis did not emerge from a vacuum but is a direct reflection of the United States' involvement in external conflicts, particularly the aggression on Yemen, and the resulting financial and political burdens that have weighed heavily on the US economy and caused the dollar to lose a significant portion of its actual value.

Recently, the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) announced the imposition of sanctions on 13 entities, nine individuals, and two assets linked to the United States, citing violations of the US crude oil export ban, officially designated under Resolution No. PD-05-25-001.

This step comes in response to escalating US measures against Yemen and reflects the policy of reciprocity adopted by Yemen to confront “hostile actions” threatening its sovereignty.

Classifying the entities, individuals, and assets on the PAYAIS sanctions list marks a qualitative step in countering US violations of Yemen’s sovereignty-related resolutions and underscores Yemen’s active role in defending its economic and strategic interests, while seeking to balance punishment with positive change in international behavior.
