News - Middle East: Mohammed Al-Hajj Mousa, spokesman for the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, affirmed that “Yemen stands on one front with Palestine”, highlighting its continued support and warning against any resumption of Israeli aggression following the current ceasefire.

Al-Hajj Mousa analyzed the circumstances surrounding the temporary ceasefire agreement and the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people and resistance factions. He emphasized that the resistance made what he described as “concessions for its own people” under intense political and humanitarian pressure.

Al-Hajj Mousa explained that while the resistance had hoped for a stronger deal, “difficult conditions — including Arab and Islamic weakness, international complicity, and global bias toward the occupation — influenced the decision.”

He stressed that these concessions were made “not to the enemy but for our people, to stop the massacre and the bloodshed,” expressing hope that the war would have ended long ago “out of mercy for our people and our nation.”

Despite the devastating destruction in Gaza — where the occupation has destroyed nearly 90 percent of the Strip — Al-Hajj Mousa underlined that three main factors “forced the Israeli entity to accept a ceasefire.”

Prisoner Deal Under Resistance’s Terms

The events of October 7 proved that the only way to free prisoners is through a negotiated exchange, he said, noting that despite Israeli enemy threats to “crush the resistance and retrieve captives unconditionally,” they were only released “under our terms as the Palestinian resistance.”

Failure of Forced Displacement

Al-Hajj Mousa said the Israeli enemy failed in its aim to forcibly displace Gazans, as the Palestinian people demonstrated “remarkable steadfastness, resolve, and willpower” despite dire conditions, thwarting the Israeli enemy plan of creating “Gaza without Gazans.”

Endurance of the Resistance and People

The spokesman emphasized that the ceasefire would not have been possible without “the steadfastness of both the resistance and the people,” calling their resilience “miraculous.”

He affirmed that “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood will remain engraved in memory, as the occupation failed to erase or recover from the blow it suffered at every level.”

Al-Hajj Mousa concluded by reaffirming the unity between Yemen and Palestine, noting Yemen’s “consistent support and clear warning against renewed Israeli aggression.” He stated that the current phase demonstrates the endurance of the Palestinian struggle, saying: “The day after the agreement will be a day of jihad, steadfastness, and liberation — a day to restore dignity.”

This comes amid an ongoing fragile ceasefire following months of devastating Israeli aggression on Gaza, which left tens of thousands of Palestinians dead or injured and caused massive destruction to infrastructure. Regional actors, including Yemen, have expressed unwavering support for Palestine, viewing the steadfastness of the resistance as a central factor in compelling Israeli enemy to agree to a truce after two years of conflict.
