Millions Gather in Sana'a Marking Two Years of Supporting Gaza, Vowing Readiness

News - Yemen: In a powerful display of solidarity, millions of Yemenis flooded Sana'a's Al-Sabeen Square on Friday for a massive rally titled "Two Years of Giving... Fidelity to Martyrs' Blood," concluding a two-year campaign of support for Gaza while announcing a new phase of vigilance toward Palestinian developments.

The enormous gathering, drawing participants from all districts of the capital and Sana'a province, featured significant attendance from social, political, party, and religious figures, adding layers of meaning to the event.

Participants declared their readiness to engage in all necessary efforts to preserve the gains of Palestinian resilience and sacrifice, emphasizing their commitment to holding "the Zionist enemy accountable" for any violations of agreements.

The rally also served as a tribute to Major General Mohammed al-Ghumari, whose recent martyrdom was portrayed as the culmination of a military and popular stance that has supported the Palestinian cause throughout the past two years. Speakers repeatedly emphasized that "the blood of dedicated mujahideen fuels the people's continuation of carrying the banner for which pure blood was shed."

The gathering evoked pivotal historical moments for the nation, particularly remembering martyr leader Yahya al-Sinwar, whose legacy was presented as a mirror reflecting traditions of sacrifice. Attendees drew additional energy from these symbols to affirm continuity and vigilance, transforming farewell into a ritual of unwavering determination.

Official Statement
A statement read by Dhifallah al-Shami, member of Ansarullah's Political Office and the National Committee for Supporting Al-Aqsa, emphasized that this massive gathering "crowns the unparalleled mobilization God granted us," honoring martyrs.

The statement honored Major General al-Ghumari as "a great jihadist commander" who played a magnificent role alongside his comrades in "inflicting humiliating defeat upon America in the seas, along with Britain, and the criminal Zionist enemy entity over two years."

The million-strong gathering reaffirmed its "steadfastness in our principled, faith-based, moral and humanitarian positions with Gaza" and vowed to "remain monitoring developments in Gaza with full readiness to return if the enemy resumes aggression or betrays agreements."

The statement concluded with a call to "the nation's peoples to respond to God's call through sincere, practical return to the Holy Quran as God's light and guidance".

The rally represents one of the largest public demonstrations in recent memory, underscoring the ongoing significance of the Palestinian cause in Yemen's political landscape and the enduring influence of Ansarullah's mobilization capabilities.

Yemen has been a staunch opponent of "Israel" and the United States. It has launched numerous drones and missiles targeting "Israel" and Israeli-linked shipping in the Red Sea, framing its actions as a direct response to the war in Gaza and a blockade in solidarity with Palestinians. The Yemeni people regularly organize large-scale demonstrations to showcase popular support for its "Axis of Resistance" stance.

Since October 2023, Israeli forces have killed more than 67,000 Palestinians, over 80 percent of whom are believed to be civilians, according to leaked data from the Israeli military.

The assault also caused widespread famine and led to the destruction or damage of nearly every standing structure in Gaza - including homes, hospitals, schools, mosques and churches.
