News - Yemen: A Yemeni civilian was martyred on Sunday after being shot by Saudi enemy forces near the border district of Shada in Sa’ada Province, in yet another violation against border villages and civilians.

Local sources reported that Saudi forces targeted several areas in Shada with heavy machine guns and artillery fire, killing one civilian and causing damage to citizens’ property. 

The attack occurred despite the relative calm observed on several fronts since the announcement of the humanitarian truce.

Residents of the area condemned the daily Saudi attacks on border communities, describing them as a direct threat to civilian life, and called on international organizations and human rights bodies to intervene immediately to stop the ongoing crimes and violations.

The Saudi enemy continues near-daily attacks on Yemen’s northern border areas, killing and wounding civilians and destroying homes and farms despite the humanitarian truce. In recent months, dozens have been martyred in these unprovoked assaults, which reflect Riyadh’s ongoing policy of aggression and collective punishment against border residents in clear violation of international law.
