Political Council Adviser Exposes Saudi Stalling and Unmasks US-Zionist Agenda in Yemen

News - Yemen: Mohammed Taher An‘am, advisor to Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, revealed that yesterday’s meeting between the head of the National Delegation and the UN envoy, and the resulting indicators regarding the peace process, fall within attempts to revive a path that the Saudi enemy has long deliberately avoided.

In an interview with Al-Masirah TV this morning, An‘am said that delegation head Mohammed Abdulsalam presented the UN envoy with a clear summary of Yemen’s national stance: there are no longer any justifications for Saudi stalling on peace, implementing past agreements, or fulfilling settlement commitments. He emphasized the widespread popular frustration over this delay.

An‘am added that “external forces and pressures,” namely American and Zionist, are working to keep the Yemen file open, calling it a clear US-Zionist interest that serves neither Saudi Arabia nor Yemen. He praised the political, revolutionary, and military leadership for their steadfastness and affirmed that the Yemeni people will continue to fight for their full rights.

He noted that Supreme Political Council Chairman Mahdi al-Mashat warned the Saudi enemy in his recent 14 October speech against sliding into a war that serves external parties, urging Riyadh to embrace wisdom and accept peace instead of succumbing to projects that reignite conflict.

An‘am pointed out clear contradictions in the political track with Saudi Arabia: while the national delegation pushes for the implementation of agreements and peace obligations, Saudi Arabia continues to stall, leaving Yemenis with the choice of defending their rights, recovering lost resources, and securing compensation after a decade of aggression and siege. He stressed, “We will not remain silent or patient for long; our frustration is extreme, and our hands are on the trigger.”

On the rights front, An‘am described yesterday’s Amnesty International report on the US airstrike targeting an African migrant center in Sa‘adah as evidence of American and Zionist war crimes in Yemen. He called for this file to be pursued before international organizations, the International Court of Justice, and the International Criminal Court to hold perpetrators accountable.

He criticized the inability to follow up on these crimes due to Yemen’s representation in international organizations being controlled by “traitorous, client governments” that fail to act. He urged either removing these seats or transferring them to representatives capable of pursuing justice against the US, the Zionist entity, and their Arab and Yemeni collaborators.

Regarding the linkage between the Yemen file and the Palestinian cause, An‘am expressed concern over the appointment of US Ambassador Stephen Fagin to the Palestinian file, calling it part of a “serious American-Zionist-Emirati conspiracy” aimed at tying the Yemen and Palestine issues and facilitating relations between Aden-based collaborators and Zionist officers and elements.

He cited previous suspicious activities, including fuel shipments, the presence of Zionist figures in Aden, and movements of Emirati officers to the Zionist entity, stressing the need for careful monitoring and continuous exposure of the US-Zionist agenda.

An‘am called on the international community and human rights organizations to activate criminal and political files against those who committed war crimes in Yemen and to prevent continued monopolization of Yemen’s seats in international bodies by forces that ignore victims’ rights. He also appealed to the Saudi people to exercise “wisdom and reason” and reject involvement in projects that do not serve mutual interests.

An‘am’s remarks come amid renewed tension in the stalled peace process between Sana’a and Riyadh. The Saudi enemy is avoiding agreed steps such as lifting the blockade and paying salaries, under US and Zionist pressure.

His statements reflect growing frustration in Sana’a after nearly a decade of aggression, as well as concern over attempts to link the Yemen and Palestine files within a broader US-Zionist agenda.

The Amnesty International report he referenced—confirming a deadly US airstrike on African migrants in Sa‘adah—has added to calls for international accountability and renewed warnings that continued Saudi stalling could trigger a new round of confrontation.
