Researcher: Yemen and Resistance Front Ummah’s Hope for Restoring Dignity

News – Yemen: Researcher and writer Mohammed Al-Buhaisi affirmed that martyrdom and jihad in the way of Allah represent pillars of the Muslim Ummah’s strength, granting it honor both in this world and the hereafter.

He noted that these concepts have been distorted under tyrannical regimes that suppressed the spirit of jihad and obscured the true meaning of sacrifice. While jihad is a foundational act of worship in Islam, Al-Buhaisi explained, many have come to view it through a lens of fear and hesitation, forgetting that struggle in Allah’s cause is inevitable.

Al-Buhaisi stressed that true Islam, as intended by Allah, differs from the distorted version propagated by rulers and certain scholars. He described Islam as a comprehensive system of faith, ethics, and legislation designed to cultivate righteous individuals.

He distinguished between the general and specific meanings of the term mujahid (fighter): the broader definition encompassing all sincere adherence to divine commands, and the narrower referring to those engaged directly in armed struggle against the enemies of Allah. Genuine confrontation, he said, must arise from a deep conviction to resist tyranny, disbelief, and rebellion against divine authority.

Yemen, he added, stands as a living example of this ongoing struggle. Despite Satan’s weakness, he constantly seeks to mislead believers, while the Zionist enemy and its American backers pose a persistent challenge to Yemen’s faith-driven path.

Al-Buhaisi cautioned against reducing jihad to a mere slogan or abstract call for peace, arguing that such misconceptions would lead the Ummah away from Allah’s path. He insisted that jihad and martyrdom are essential instruments of protection and dignity, and that neglecting them invites weakness and subjugation.

He further explained that the Ummah’s downfall began when it abandoned the divine methodology for identifying and confronting its enemies. The Qur’anic approach, he said, rejects material calculations in deciding whether to fight or submit. History proves, he continued, that nations which resisted aggression ultimately endured less suffering than those which surrendered.

Referencing historical and modern examples—from the Mongol invasions to the Zionist wars of 1948, 1956, and 1967—Al-Buhaisi underscored that, despite great sacrifices, steadfast believers and divine support have consistently thwarted the plans of the aggressors. In Gaza today, he said, children, women, and elders are being martyred, yet their steadfastness exposes the enemy’s moral and spiritual bankruptcy.

He warned against hypocrites who echo American and Zionist narratives through media campaigns aimed at discrediting supporters of Gaza. True confrontation, he said, serves the Ummah, while silence and inaction only deepen its wounds.

Al-Buhaisi concluded by hailing the mujahideen and resistance movements in Gaza, Yemen, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, and elsewhere as the true leaders of the Ummah—those upholding the banner of Al-Quds and defending the nation’s dignity, faith, and Qur’anic values.

Al-Buhaisi’s remarks come amid growing unity among movements within the regional Resistance Front — spanning Yemen, Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran — which view the ongoing struggle against Zionist and Western aggression as a single front of faith and liberation.

As Zionist atrocities in Gaza continue and US support remains steadfast, Yemen’s steadfastness embodies the broader Islamic awakening and the Ummah’s collective will to reclaim its dignity and independence.
