“What if these meanings were present in the minds of the peoples and youth of our Arab and Islamic nation?” he asked.
He warned that distancing society from the culture of martyrdom and from honoring martyrs leads to the weakening of the Ummah and a loss of its capacity to confront adversaries.
He stressed that the strength of the nation begins with adherence to religious values, the culture of martyrdom, and youth awareness of the importance of sacrifice in the cause of Allah.
Abu Lahia said some states and rulers have sought to distort religion and turn it into an instrument of obedience serving the interests of global powers, citing what happened in Yemen and Afghanistan as examples of peoples exploited to satisfy American and Crusader interests.
“The most effective solution is for the Ummah to reconnect religion with its true values — not with mere outward forms or subservience to foreigners,” he said, adding that the Islamic Ummah alone can confront tyrants because its strength is sourced in religion.
He cited incidents during the Hajj in Saudi Arabia, saying Muslims there are humiliated or even killed for rejecting American dominance.
He affirmed that the Ummah’s real power lies in implementing Allah’s directives and believing in His promise of victory, particularly on the fields of confrontation.
He argued that Islam was not built only in schools but in the battlefields from the outset, citing the Battle of Badr as an example in which the Ummah was formed and strengthened through confrontation and sacrifice. “Islam is forged by blood; it is refined through hardship until it becomes a pure, solid force,” he said.
He added that prolonged phases of confrontation accumulate the Ummah’s strength, as seen in Yemen over the past decade, which has produced a strong, resilient generation capable of confronting the Ummah’s enemies. “This generation in Yemen will be among the most steadfast in the region’s history,” he said, likening battlefield experience to refining gold — impurities are removed and the result is purer and stronger.
He cited continuous popular mobilization — weekly marches, lectures and tribal gatherings in Sana'a and other governorates — as contributing to significant moral capabilities.
“Yemen began this struggle from zero and, over the years, has proven its strength — to the extent that American aircraft carriers fled the Red Sea in the face of strikes by steadfast, believing mujahidin,” he said.
Abu Lahia concluded that confronting enemies requires genuine awareness and a deep understanding of the values of martyrdom. “Everything that prevents the Ummah from strength begins with its division, its failure to hold fast to the Qur’an, and its failure to follow Allah’s guidance,” he asserted.
He stressed that the living Ummah is the one that makes victory, especially amid confrontation, where faith in values is manifested in every deed and battle.
Yemen’s growing missile and self-defense capabilities, though limited in scale compared to the Israeli enemy, are viewed as a strategic deterrent by local actors, demonstrating the country’s ability to challenge foreign intervention and occupation efforts. The comments reflect Israel’s ongoing reliance on both military action and political rhetoric to maintain influence and project power across the region.
