News - Yemen: Hamdeen Sabahi, Secretary-General of the Arab National Conference and senior Egyptian politician, praised Yemen for its “exemplary role” in supporting the Palestinian resistance in Gaza during two years of Israeli aggression and a campaign of genocidal assault on the Strip. 

In an interview with Al-Masirah TV, Sabahi emphasized that Yemen and its leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, hold a natural place at the conference, given their alignment with the principles of resistance against the Zionist entity.

Sabahi expressed pride in Yemen’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and its confrontation of the Israeli enemy. He highlighted that the Arab National Conference is honored to host figures who have fought the Israeli enemy, including Ansarullah, asserting that this is their rightful place.

He criticized media campaigns and voices that opposed Sayyed Abdulmalik’s participation, describing such criticism as “unjustified.” Sabahi drew parallels between the leader’s resistance and that of the late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, emphasizing that those who identify as Nasserists naturally support those confronting the Israeli enemy.

The politician, a former Egyptian presidential candidate, also called for a Yemen-wide dialogue, reiterating the conference’s advocacy for reconciliation and unity among all Yemeni factions, including Nasserists.

He concluded by urging Yemenis to support the Palestinian resistance, describing Yemen’s role as a courageous model for the Arab world. Sabahi stressed that the liberation of Palestine depends on Arab unity and collective resistance against the Zionist entity.

Yemen has played a leading role in the regional resistance front since the beginning of the Zionist enemy’s war on Gaza, launching military operations across land, sea, and air in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Despite enduring heavy bombardment and the loss of senior leaders, Yemen’s steadfastness and its expanding resistance operations have reshaped regional deterrence equations, strengthening the collective stance of the Axis of Resistance against US-Zionist aggression.
