In televised remarks, Nizar Nizal, an expert on Israeli affairs, analyzed the recent exposure of the spy ring in Yemen. He stated that the operation sheds light on an intelligence model where the Israeli enemy, lacking extensive direct assets within Yemen, relies on cooperation with specific Arab states, notably Saudi Arabia. This cooperation, he argued, provides a "legitimate cover" for intelligence gathering, funneling information to a joint operations room shared by U.S. and Israeli agencies.

"The Israeli enemy does not possess wide-ranging capabilities inside Yemen to carry out direct operations," Nizal stated, explaining why the Israeli enemy rarely claims direct targeting of prominent Yemeni military figures. He suggested that Saudi Arabia acts as a critical façade, facilitating espionage in a region where direct Israeli collaboration is politically untenable.

He affirmed that intelligence agencies exploit economic and social hardships to recruit assets, operating through a fixed operational pattern managed from joint intelligence rooms involving Saudi officers and Western operatives.
