News - Middle East: Hamas representative in Yemen, Moaz Abu Shamala, praised Yemen’s unified stance in support of Gaza, highlighting that the words of the leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and his slogan, “You are not alone,” are fully reflected in both the army and people’s actions in support of the Palestinian cause.

Abu Shamala stressed that the message sent by Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Yusuf al-Madani to the Al-Qassam Brigades provided significant moral support and political backing for the Palestinian negotiator.

Regarding UN Resolution 2803 on Gaza, Abu Shamala warned that it does not end the Israeli enemy occupation but practically transfers Gaza from Zionist occupation to American colonial control, reaffirming Hamas’s categorical rejection of the resolution.

He added that attempts are ongoing to pressure Hamas into accepting a proposed international force, but the Palestinian factions maintain a firm position: any force entering Gaza will be a party to the conflict. 

Abu Shamala also revealed that Arab countries have begun recruiting approximately 30,000 Palestinian police officers to be deployed in Gaza under a US-managed administration amid the new Trump-era policies.

Meanwhile, he highlighted the growing threat in the West Bank, including forced displacement, intensified checkpoints, and escalated attacks by Zionist settlers, which he described as part of a systematic policy of oppression and control.

Yemen has emerged as a key regional supporter of the Palestinian resistance, combining political backing, humanitarian aid, and public solidarity campaigns. The statement by Abu Shamala comes amid heightened tensions in Gaza, where intensified airstrikes, ground operations, and ongoing blockade measures have deepened the humanitarian crisis.

Analysts warn that US-backed plans to introduce foreign forces, alongside efforts by Arab states to recruit Palestinian police for Gaza, risk expanding international involvement in a conflict already destabilized by the Israeli enemy’s military campaigns, potentially entrenching foreign control while undermining Palestinian autonomy.
