Yemen Condemns Israeli Enemy Escalation, Warns of Regional Conflict Spillover

News - Yemen: Abdulwahab Al-Durra, the Acting Foreign Minister in Yemen, has issued a strong condemnation of recent Israeli enemy military actions in Lebanon and Syria, labeling them a blatant violation of international law and a threat to the Gaza ceasefire.

In an official statement, Al-Durra asserted that the Israeli escalation "threatens to overturn the cessation of aggression in Gaza and reflects the entity's insistence on resuming crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people."

The minister specifically cited "the criminal Netanyahu and a number of officials of the usurping Zionist entity into the southern Syrian Arab Republic," calling it a flagrant violation of the UN Charter, international law, and Syrian sovereignty.

Al-Durra argued that the repeated Israeli assaults on these Arab nations demonstrate "Zionist arrogance" and a persistent flouting of international law, proving that "the Zionist entity represents a real danger to the stability of the entire region." He called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities and to compel the Israeli enemy to end its continuous aggressions against Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, which he emphasized pose a direct threat to regional security and stability.

The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of Yemen's "solidarity and full support for the Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian peoples in confronting the attacks of the usurping enemy entity."

"Israeli" media reported that Netanyahu visited the Israeli-controlled buffer zone in southern Syria on Wednesday. He was accompanied by minister of military affairs Israel Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, military chief Eyal Zamir, and Shin Bet director David Zini, among others.

The visit came amid reports that Israeli authorities and the HTS regime have been involved in direct talks in recent months, aimed at reaching what is being referred to as a security agreement.

Meanwhile, HTS authorities have condemned the “illegal” visit by high-ranking Israeli officials to Syria's south, calling it a serious breach of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

They described the visit as “a new attempt to impose a fait accompli”, saying it violated UN Security Council resolutions.

"Israel" has repeatedly conducted aggressive operations across Syrian territory following the collapse of former President Bashar al-Assad's government late last year.

Netanyahu has ordered his forces to advance further into Syrian territory, targeting the acquisition of several strategically significant locations in the area.

The Israeli enemy has intensified its presence in Syria by taking control of the buffer zone that divides the occupied Golan Heights from the broader Syrian territory, thereby violating the provisions outlined in the 1974 disengagement agreement.

Analysts caution that the HTS regime's silence, combined with its steps toward normalization with Tel Aviv, has encouraged the Israeli regime to escalate its territorial occupation in Syria and increase its airstrikes on the area.
