News - Middle East: The Israeli regime and the United Arab Emirates have quietly accelerated work on a joint railway project designed to cement Tel Aviv’s regional interference and bypass Arab economic boycotts.

Multiple Israeli outlets, including Channel 15 and the Yedioth Ahronoth paper, revealed on Tuesday that construction of the so-called “Peace Railway” was already at an “advanced stage.”

The reports came as the regime perpetrates daily deadly violations of a supposedly standing ceasefire deal with the Gaza Strip’s Hamas resistance movement.

Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed since the deal’s implementation began in early October with the expected aim of ending Tel Aviv’s genocide in Gaza that had begun in October 2023, killing tens of thousands, mostly women and children.

Observers commenting on the violations cite continuation of the genocidal pattern, despite Hamas’ verifiable commitment to the accord.

According to the reports, Israeli transportation minister Miri Regev travelled secretly to Abu Dhabi last week.

The covert visit revived technical coordination on a corridor intended to funnel goods arriving from India through the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. ultimately terminating in the occupying port of Haifa for export to Europe and the United States.

Originally drafted by Washington in 2018 and later incorporated into the so-called India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), the project is marketed as a “peace” initiative.

It seeks to build up on the controversial Abraham Accords that Washington mediated between several regional states and the regime in 2022, which enabled rapprochement between the states, including the UAE, and the regime.

Last month, Francesca Albanese, the United Nations special rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, issued her latest damning report, detailing global complicity in the genocide.

The report revealed that trade between Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi even increased in 2024 as the genocide was in full swing to the tune of more than $237 million.
