News - Yemen: Local sources in Yemen's Saadah province have reported renewed Saudi shelling, targeting a residential and agricultural area.

According to reports, the Al-Raqu area in the Munabbih border district was struck by heavy and medium machine-gun fire on Saturday morning. The attack is said to have caused panic among residents, particularly women and children.

These sources, including Al-Masirah TV, affirmed that such incidents have become near-daily occurrences, targeting border village populations without justification and in clear violation of international humanitarian law. They further criticize the "conspicuous international silence" regarding these repeated actions.

The border districts of Munabbih, Shada, Razih, and Sahar have endured years of reported artillery, missile, and direct gunfire, resulting in hundreds of casualties and widespread destruction of property and infrastructure.

Earlier on Friday, an African migrant was injured by gunfire from Saudi forces in the Qatabir border district. This incident follows reports from earlier in the week affirming that Saudi artillery and machine-gun fire targeted the Al-Raqu area on Wednesday, and that a Yemeni citizen and another African migrant were injured by Saudi fire on Tuesday.

The northern Yemeni province of Saada, bordering Saudi Arabia, has been a persistent flashpoint throughout the US-Saudi aggression. Despite intermittent truces and ongoing UN-led peace efforts, shelling and airstrikes have continued often resulting in civilian casualties and accusations of violations from the Saudi side.
