Rights Group: Nearly 54,300 Civilian Casualties After 3,900 Days of US-Saudi Aggression on Yemen

News - Yemen: The Eye Humanity Center for Rights and Development revealed on Tuesday, during an event commemorating International Human Rights Day, the magnitude of violations committed against the Yemeni people over 3,900 days of US-Saudi aggression and blockade.

According to the Center, the total number of civilian casualties has reached 54,219, including 19,446 martyrs and 34,773 injured.

Among the victims were 4,244 child martyrs and 5,401 injured children, in addition to 12,659 male martyrs and 26,135 injured men, while 2,543 women were killed and 3,237 injured.

The report further noted that coalition attacks targeted 15 airports, 16 ports, and 488 power stations and generators, along with 716 communication networks and stations, 3,577 water tanks, 2,501 government facilities, and 8,869 roads and bridges.

The destruction extended to vital economic and civilian sectors. The Center documented attacks on 467 factories, 642 fuel tankers, 16,686 commercial facilities, 503 poultry and livestock farms, 12,196 vehicles, and 581 fishing boats.

In addition, 1,172 food warehouses, 565 fuel stations, 735 markets, and 1,504 food trucks were also targeted.

Residential areas and public institutions suffered severe damage, with 622,354 homes destroyed or damaged, alongside 203 university facilities, 2,018 mosques, 431 tourist facilities, and 475 hospitals and health centers.

Educational, agricultural, and cultural sectors were also hit, including 1,487 schools, 14,231 agricultural fields, 157 sports facilities, 301 archaeological sites, and 75 media institutions.

The Center emphasized that these figures represent only a portion of the ongoing humanitarian crisis, calling for international accountability and immediate action to protect civilians and uphold human rights in Yemen.

The toll outlined by the Eye Humanity Center reflects nearly 11 years of US-Saudi aggression and blockade, which has devastated Yemen’s civilian population and infrastructure. Repeated airstrikes, daily cross-border attacks, and strict restrictions on food, fuel, and medical supplies have pushed the country into one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Infrastructure vital to public services and the economy—airports, ports, hospitals, schools, roads, and farms—has suffered extensive damage, while accountability for violations remains absent despite mounting civilian casualties.
