News - Yemen: The Yemeni Parliament has strongly condemned the escalating acts of violence and instability in the occupied southern and eastern provinces, blaming the mercenaries affiliated with the Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition.

In a statement, the Parliament expressed its firm rejection and denunciation of the conspiratorial schemes targeting Yemen, warning that the latest of these plans seeks to turn the occupied provinces into arenas for conflict, score-settling, and power-sharing among rival mercenary militias loyal to the Saudi and Emirati regimes.

The Parliament called on free and patriotic Yemenis in the occupied southern and eastern provinces to unite their ranks and confront the criminal plots aimed at undermining Yemen’s unity, security, sovereignty, and stability.

It also warned the aggression’s militias and mercenaries against continuing actions that threaten national security and stability, holding them fully responsible for the chaos in the occupied provinces, including the looting of national wealth, terrorizing civilians, blocking roads, forcibly displacing residents of northern provinces, and seizing their private property.

The statement described these practices as criminal and destructive acts that violate national values and principles, the Yemeni Constitution, applicable laws, as well as international agreements, humanitarian conventions, and moral norms.

The Parliament further stated that the violations taking place in Hadhramawt and Al-Mahra—such as property seizures, the occupation of civilian homes, and infringements on personal sanctity—are no less serious than the crimes and violations committed in Gaza. It praised the historical and national role of the people of Hadhramawt and Al-Mahra.

According to the statement, Hadhramawt has long been a symbol of peace, home to scholars, righteous figures, traders, and business leaders, and a model of social cohesion and coexistence. The province was also highlighted for its significant role in economic development due to its strategic geographic location.

The Parliament said that the crimes and violations committed by militias of the so-called Southern Transitional Council are alien to Hadhramawt, tarnish the reputation of its honorable people, and bear no relation to their history or values.

Concluding its statement, the Yemeni Parliament urged all national forces and free citizens to shoulder their religious, national, and historical responsibilities in the face of ongoing chaos and destruction in the occupied provinces, calling for unified action to confront these violations and safeguard Yemen’s unity, security, sovereignty, and stability.

Under this control, the southern and eastern provinces have become a testing ground for the Emirati occupation to implement strategies of domination and partition. Meanwhile, residents face ongoing political and security chaos, economic pressures, blockades imposed on ports and vital facilities, restrictions on movement, and near-complete control over airspace and airports. According to reports, these conditions render any effort to preserve national unity extremely difficult, especially as regional interventions and foreign-funded militias continue to proliferate.
