News - Yemen: Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi has issued a statement condemning the new American insult to the Holy Qur’an, committed by a US election candidate.

In his statement, Sayyed Abdulmalik said the offense against “the most sacred of religious sanctities on earth” falls within the framework of an ongoing “Zionist Jewish war,” which he said involves the US, Britain, and the Israeli enemy. He argued that such actions reflect hostility toward Islam and its core beliefs.

The leader further stated that the animosity of Zionists and their supporters exposes their moral darkness. At the same time, the Qur’an, he said, safeguards those who adhere to it from deviation and corruption and represents a path to saving humanity from oppression and subjugation.

He said the Israeli enemy continues daily criminal practices in Palestine, including violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the clear exposure of its aggression over the past two years. He also accused allied regional governments and pro-Israel media outlets of openly adopting Israeli enemy narratives and working to implement its agendas.

Sayyed Abdulmalik warned that remaining silent in the face of insults, attacks, and a comprehensive war against Islam and Muslims constitutes a grave failure of responsibility. He called on the Yemeni people to publicly declare their stance against the insults to the Qur’an and Islamic sanctities through wide-ranging popular action, beginning in universities and schools, alongside diverse activities led by Islamic scholars.

The leader also urged Yemenis to take part in large-scale demonstrations scheduled for Friday, describing them as an expression of Yemen’s religious identity and a rejection of US and Israeli enemy positions offensive to the Holy Qur’an.

According to Sayyed Abdulmalik, participation in the planned protests would reaffirm the Yemeni people’s steadfast commitment to a faith-based and resistance-oriented approach in confronting the American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic nation, while also demonstrating continued support for the Palestinian people and readiness to confront any plots targeting Yemen.

Recent Qur’an desecrations by US figures have escalated tensions with the Muslim world and the Zionist enemy. Religious leaders warn these acts are deliberate provocations aimed at undermining Islamic unity and morale. Scholars in Yemen and across the Arab world stress that defending the Qur’an is both a spiritual and political duty, requiring public awareness, education, and active resistance to protect the dignity of the Ummah.
