News - Yemen: Yemeni official bodies, political forces, and religious figures issued strong condemnations of the recent insult to the Holy Qur’an committed by a US election candidate, considering the act as a grave offense against Islam and Muslims worldwide and part of a broader hostile campaign led by the United States and the Zionist entity.

The Supreme Political Council strongly denounced the incident, considering it a blatant assault on the most sacred symbol of Muslims and a provocation of the sentiments of more than two billion Muslims around the world.

In a statement, the Council stressed that the act was not an isolated incident but rather part of a systematic hostile approach adopted by the forces of global arrogance, led by the United States and the Zionist entity.

It held the US administration politically and morally responsible for allowing such provocative practices, describing them as a cultural and media war that complements ongoing aggression and violations in Palestine and across the region.

The Council emphasized that insults to the Holy Qur’an will not diminish its sanctity or weaken the Ummah’s attachment to it. Still, it will instead strengthen believers’ commitment to their faith and expose the reality of the hostile project targeting the religion, sovereignty, and dignity of the Islamic nation. 

It called on the Yemeni people to respond to the call of the Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik, through practical action, organizing public events, and participating in a large popular turnout next Friday.

In a related statement, the Political Bureau of Ansarullah condemned both the deliberate American insult to the Holy Qur’an and the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Zionist Jewish settlers led by the criminal Netanyahu. 

The Bureau described the desecration of Islamic sanctities as a blatant provocation of the Islamic Ummah and a violation of religious freedom falsely claimed by Western governments. It stressed that such acts, which have become recurrent in the United States and Europe, are carried out under the protection and sponsorship of global Zionism, the primary patron of intellectual terrorism.

The Ansarullah Political Bureau also held Arab and Islamic regimes, normalized with the Zionist entity, responsible for enabling such violations, urging Arab and Islamic peoples to take effective action and pressure their governments to confront Zionist crimes and schemes targeting Islamic holy sites, foremost among them Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Shura Council strongly condemned the insult to the Holy Qur’an, as a criminal act committed within the framework of US electoral propaganda and evidence of deep-rooted hostility harbored by the American-Zionist project toward Islam and Muslims. 

The Council affirmed that such acts form part of a comprehensive and systematic war aimed at undermining the sanctity of the Qur’an, striking at the identity of the Ummah, and severing it from the source of its dignity and strength. 

It held the United States, Britain, and the Israeli enemy fully responsible for repeated insults. It called for mass participation in upcoming public demonstrations, as well as the activation of economic boycotts against American, Zionist, and Western industries.

Prominent Yemeni scholar Sheikh Abdullah Ayedh Al-Razami also condemned the incident, affirming that insulting the Holy Qur’an constitutes an offense against all Muslims and will not go unanswered. 

He stressed that such criminal acts reflect blind hatred and deep-seated hostility toward the Book of Allah. He warned that they would only increase believers’ faith and steadfastness while bringing disgrace upon their perpetrators. Al-Razami emphasized that the Ummah, which venerates the Book of its Lord, will never accept violations of its sacred symbols and will remain steadfast regardless of the tyranny of its enemies.

Recent years have seen repeated incidents of insults against Islamic sanctities in Western countries, often carried out under political and legal cover and justified under the pretext of freedom of expression. These provocations coincide with the Zionist entity’s escalation of systematic violations against Islamic holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its continued aggression against the Palestinian people. 

Across the Muslim world, these developments are widely viewed as part of a coordinated hostile campaign targeting Islamic identity, sacred symbols, and the unity of the Ummah, fueling widespread popular anger and calls for unified political, religious, and popular responses.
